Will the Wait be Worth It?

Have you ever prayed for something specific that you wanted God to do, but it didn’t happen? God didn’t answer the prayer. He didn’t turn up when you expected Him to. The moment has passed; there’s no point in praying for it anymore.

I've been there, done that, and I’ve got the t-shirt!

There was a time when I was waiting for God to come through in a particular area of my life. To be honest, I thought His intervention would arrive much sooner.

However, when the Lord did fulfil His promise to me, it was exceedingly, abundantly above all my expectations.

What amazed me most was that the miracle wasn't just about me. God had something much bigger in mind. The way He came through for me touched so many other lives and revealed His goodness in ways that no one could have orchestrated but the Lord.

It reminded me of the story of Lazarus.

When Jesus received word that His friend was sick, it appeared that He was delayed. By the time Jesus arrived, Lazarus had died and had been buried for four days! To Mary and Martha, it must have felt like Jesus had come too late.

In fact, Martha said, "Lord, if You had been here, my brother would not have died." (John 11:21)

But Jesus wasn't late.

His timing created an opportunity for an even greater miracle. What looked like disappointment became a powerful display of God's glory. Lazarus wasn't simply healed; he was raised from the dead.

Trusting God in the middle of unanswered prayer requires faith. It means believing that His ways are higher than ours. It means trusting Him even when we don't understand what He’s doing.

So if you're still waiting, don't give up.

Keep trusting.

Keep believing.

Keep walking faithfully with Him.

And when God comes through for you, and He will, may He find you waiting with trust.
