When You Can't See God Working, Trust That He Still Is

There are seasons in life when everything feels uncertain. Circumstances don't improve as quickly as we hoped, and somewhere along the way, doubt begins to whisper difficult questions.

"Is God really with me?"

"Has He forgotten me?"

"Will He provide for me?"

If you've ever found yourself asking those questions, you're not alone. Hard seasons have a way of making us wonder whether God is still near, still listening, and still faithful to His promises.

I've been there too.

There were times when I couldn't see God at work. I thought He was inactive because nothing seemed to be changing. I thought He was silent because I couldn't hear His voice. Yet looking back, I can see that He was with me the entire time. He was working behind the scenes even when I couldn't recognize it. He was speaking, guiding, and sustaining me, even when my emotions told me otherwise.

That's the beautiful truth about God's faithfulness—it doesn't depend on our feelings or our ability to understand what He is doing.

God is faithful.

He is always with us.

He is always working.

He is true to His Word.

Not once has He failed to keep a promise. Throughout Scripture and throughout our own lives, we see His faithfulness again and again. Even when the path ahead is unclear, His character remains unchanged.

Sometimes the greatest encouragement we can give ourselves is to look backward.

Think about where God has brought you from. Remember the prayers He has answered, the needs He has provided for, the strength He gave when you thought you couldn't continue, and the ways He carried you through seasons you never imagined you would survive.

The same God who was faithful then is faithful now.

And He will be faithful tomorrow.

Maybe you don't see Him working today. Maybe you don't hear His voice as clearly as you'd like. But His silence is not abandonment, and His timing is never inactivity. He is still present. He is still moving. He is still fulfilling His promises.

So when doubt comes, remind yourself of all God has already done in your life.

He has never let you down.

And He never will.

Today, take a few moments to reflect on God's faithfulness. Write down the ways He has provided for you, answered prayers, and carried you through difficult seasons. Let those memories strengthen your trust in Him, because the God who has been faithful in the past will remain faithful in the future.
