God Has Not Forgotten His Promise

What has God promised you that you’re still waiting on?

Is it healing?

A spouse?

Restoration of your family?

Financial breakthrough?

Children?

Employment?

You know what He’s promised you, but as the months turn into years, doubt starts whispering, "What if it never happens?"

Waiting can be one of the hardest seasons we walk through. And the longer we are required to wait, the doubts begin, and we wonder whether God has forgotten His promise to us.

I understand that feeling.

I waited years for the Lord to fulfil His word to me that He would heal me. Though it wasn’t easy, I held onto this promise for dear life, even though all I could physically see was contrary to what my faith believed in. There were times I questioned if I would ever be healed, but His promise to me was the only hope I had. So, I decided to trust Him and take Him at His word.

God never fails to fulfil His promises.

At His ordained time—not mine—He fulfilled what He had spoken. He healed me, just as He said He would. Looking back, I can see that He was working all along, even when I couldn't see it.

Throughout Scripture, we see this truth again and again. Abraham waited decades for Isaac. Hannah prayed and waited for Samuel. Joseph endured years of hardship before seeing God's promises fulfilled. Sarah laughed in unbelief, yet God remained faithful. Time and again, the Lord proved that His promises are not empty words.

His timing may not always align with ours, but His faithfulness never changes.

Perhaps you're tired of waiting. Perhaps you're wondering if the promise you once held so tightly has slipped through your fingers.

Take heart.

The God who spoke is the God who delivers. What He has promised you, He will accomplish.

Today, I want to encourage you to open your Bible and read one of the many stories where God fulfilled His promises. Let those testimonies strengthen your faith and remind you that He is still the same God today.
